Messier 3 - A globular star cluster in the constellation Canes Venatici, is one of the three brightest globular clusters in northern skies. At a distance of 33,900 light years, it has a luminosity of about 300,000 suns. It is approximately 180 light years in diameter and contains approximately 500,000 stars. This image was captured using the Canon T5i on a Celestron 8” Edge HD telescope on an EQ8 mount. Technical data here.
