Messier 15 (M15, NGC 7078) The Pegasus Globular Cluster

This bright (magnitude 6.2) globular star cluster was discovered by Jean-Dominique Maraldi in 1746 and Charles Messier included it in his catalog in 1764. M 15 is one of the more conspicuous globular clusters. It can be seen as a fuzzy star with binoculars or a small telescope under dark skies. M 15 lies approximately 33,600 light years from earth, has a diameter of about 175 light years and a total luminosity of about 360,000 suns. Details/equipment used to capture can be found here.
